Upon my first visit to Amelia's, I felt as if I was among my best girlfriends and was treated like family. Every time I walk out of Amelia's, I feel like the most gorgeous creature on earth! My stylist is never pushy or overbearing and I always get the exact cut and style I am looking for. Not only does she take wonderful care of my hair (which is long and unmanageable) but she also treats me like a Queen while I am sitting in her chair. In my line of work, I am required to look polished at all times and the stylists at Amelia's help to maintain that goal. I love Amelia's! I moved to Merrimac two years ago and was surprised to find such an upscale salon where I could get my haircolored and cut right in Merrimac. I am alwaysdelighted with the results. A little while back I started to notice that each time I drove up Rt.110 in Merrimac I could not believe how much activity was going on at Amelias salon. The updated signand newly done building looked great but I knew they must be doing something right to have all those people every day! When I moved to Massachusetts 20 yearsago, I had a hard time finding a hair salon and stylist that I was happy with. After several bad haircuts, one so bad I had to wear a hat for awhile, I found Amelia's and I have never been anywhere else. I have been a faithful customer of Amelia's for the past 15 or so years. I find Amelia's to be as close as one can come in our area to a Newbury Street(Boston) experience. The decor is superb,the highest quality products are always used,the reception staff is professional and personable, and thestylists are talented enough to work in any Boston salon. What a pleasant experience I had today as a first-time customer! Even on a cold & rainy day, the atmosphere inside the salon was warm and welcoming. Every employee had a smile on their face and the ambiance was pleasant (kudos to you, Ms. Amelia, and your stellar interior decorating skills!). The salon was hoppin', and that gave me a very good feeling. To see the chairs full and stylists busily working makes a first time customer feellike she has made an excellent choice!I was referred to Amelia's by my friend Jennifer...who just so happens to be one of thestaff! Of course, I must give her a glowing review because she really did do an excellentjob of cutting and coloring my hair, checking in with Amelia for any pointers, and seeingthat I was comfortable at all times. Additionally, I was impressed by how affable other staff members were and really liked that Amelia took time to meet me and compliment Jenn'sjob well done.
